Cape renaming plan open for public debate till end August 2007

Is Cape Towns airport to be named 'khoi Sun International,
Is Devil's Peak to be renamed Goringhaiqua Hill (after the Khoisan community who settled in Cape Town as early as 1648)? Is JB Hertzog Drive to be called Nelson Mandela Boulevard and Coen Steytler Avenue to become Walter Sisulu Avenue? Is Milner Road in Tamboerskloof to become Uys Krige Road!
There have been over 200 name change proposals submitted to the cities renaming panel . The panel then recommends names to the City Council and hopes to find a balance of cultural diversity and social cohesion in the new names.
